Born and raised as a Vermonter; I grew up believing that a ‘true farmer’ was someone who fully and solely operated a farm as a business. When you have a ‘mini-farm’ it is called a ‘hobby’ or ‘gentlemans’ farm. I am debunking this belief and standard.

As I was doing research about ‘how many’ female american farms are “OWNED” (not farmer wives) the number surprised me, in a good way.

I loved baking and cooking as I grew up, my mom included me many times in the kitchen but it was also just a love of food. I wasn’t the best cook in my younger years, but I had fun.
